How much to spend on babyshower gift?
I am going to a babyshower for someone that I have only met 5 or 6 times and talk to on myspace about once a month. I am not sure whats the right amount to spend. We are both low income military families(if that changes anything). Thanks!

I think you should spend whatever you feel comfortable spending and can afford. Maybe pick up some of the small items on her registry and make a basket of them

I spend between 25-50.
I get a pack of swaddlers and some onesies, socks, paci's, and any other little small things and open them and place them nicely in a gift bag. The packs of onesies once open look like you bought more for fairweather friends
Good friends get diapers, custom shopping cart cover and a sweater and blanket set that my mom makes.

I think if you cant afford more, a $15 gift is fine. $25 if you can swing it. $50 is too much in this situation IMO.

I agree. You can actually get a cute outfit for $15.

My fave gift is get a hamper or basket and fill with small cheapy-stuff. If you want your gift to look more elaborate you can wrap all the individual things...
