Another ~ BIRTHDAY PARTY ~ question

if I do the build a bear thing do you think I should incorporate the candyland theme together. the building of the bear should take about and an hour and hour and a half, im told. I could do like gingerbread bears have all the kids do honey colored bears or is that to much and to tacky? Remember its a party for boys and I dont want to do to much work if possible.
