Chicago was on an outstanding playoff run. They finished 11-1 in this postseason, and won its final eight after losing Game 1 of the ALCS to the Angels.

I guess I'm the only one in agreement with Don.. I am VERY happy that the White Sox won Well earned, well deserved!!
Mind you I didn't really "follow" the series as I normally would.. but I was rooting for the Sox all along, and am very very happy they prevailed
Disclaimer: I understand those fans rooting for the Astros due to Andy being on the team. I love Andy Pettitte, I miss him too. I will always "root" for him wherever he pitches.. but one player does not make a "team" ...so outside of Andy, I really had no real reason to root for the Astros
... I am an "American League" girl anyhow

I happy that the White Sox won. I did not want the Astros to win. I love Andy but I don't really like the Astros.
Now, can we please be done with any Sox winning for another 80+ years?

As a Chicago resident and south sider, I must say it's pretty exciting that they won. DH can't wait to take the baby to the parade.
Since the playoffs started all the highrise buildings downtown rigged the lights to say "Go Sox" or "Sox" at night. It's so cool to see the skyline at night.
