Annoyed!!!! x-post from LIW
Please tell me I'm not losing it.
My office fridge gets cleaned out every Friday (so they say)
I put some lunch stuff in the fridge on Monday for the week and I went to the fridge now and it's all gone. Some stuff is still there, but it look slike it was cleaned out randomly.
Missing stuff like a few lean cusines, some wrapped cheese and a lean pocket.
***!!!!???
I told the office administrator and confirmed with others that some of their stuff is gone too..
Just really annoyed.

IT's especially annoying when it is stuff like lean cuisines and stuff that you are trying to stick to for a diet or something like that.
We had a guy at my old job that went by the 2 o'clock rule. If we put something in the fridge in the AM and didn't eat it by 2 o'clock he considered it his!
So one day we made a huge batch of brownies with chocolate x-lax in them and the stupid guy didn't eat them, but one of the service techs came in for a stop from the road to pick up parts and then he was in hell all day on the road!!!
yes, i like to tell stories.

wow that is such bs!! I am sorry that happened--no1 has the right to throw out tons of fresh new food w/o at least sending an office email that they would like to clean the fridge can pple please make sure only "good" food is left in there... sigh.... sorry sweetie!

That used to happen to me at my old job.
I then started to take a large sheet of loose leaf, put my name in clear black lettering and say DO NOT THROW OUT and put the date and my extension on it and attach it to the shopping bag.
Never had any problems after that.

I would be really angry!!  Did they know why it was thrown away off schedule?
I started putting my name AND date on my food so they would know not to toss newer stuff.

I would be annoyed too. It seems to me like someone maybe took the stuff for themselves. I used to clean out the fridge in my old office & I never threw out stuff at random. I would look at old food in tupperwares. But frozen foods, I never did throw out frozen foods.

That is especially annoying since it was packaged stuff. I thought that the Friday rule was so that people don't forget their old lunches that start growing and funkify the refrigerator. Why would someone have to throw out frozen food, except to be a jerk (or they ate it themselves.....)

I HATE when they do this. and most of the time, they do not TELL US when they are cleaning out the fridge..
and then of course, theres the issue of the lunch bandit...

I would have been fine with it if Monday came and my stuff was gone (shame on me) but it had to be Monday eve when it was cleaned out.
I brought a lean pocket and decided to have sushi instead that day. I keep slices of low-fat individually wrapped lowfat cheese for egg whites in the am and they are gone. I bring two or three a week.
Funny how the pollyo string cheese and yogurts are still there.
I brought a veggie burger with me today and I haven't put it in the fridge yet.
I've put in my complaint, lets see what happens.

We've had a rash of lunch thefts lately at my job...stuff that people ordered that day and left in the fridge - just gone. Even stuff that was made from home (someone's salad, bologna sandwich, etc.). I find that particularly nasty because who knows who was handling it, etc. That's just gross.
