Any good remedies for a stiff neck?
My neck suddenly stiffened up in the middle of the day. I took advil and it has helped a little, but it's still bothering me. Any ideas for what to do to make it feel better, aside from getting DH to give me a massage?

Usually within the first 24 hours of an injury, ice is recommended. Is it just achey or do you think you "pulled" something? If it's just achey, use a nice heating pad. ...and DEFINETLY get DH to give you a massage!

Re: Any good remedies for a stiff neck?
I've strained my neck a few times and actually have heavy duty pain medicine for it. But, my doctor said that in a fix, taking 2 (regular dose is 1) Aleve will work well enough. It'll take away the pain long enough for you to stretch a little and get the muscles out of spasm.
Also, try not to use a pillow tonight, or if you do a flat one, and see how it feels in the morning. Don't push the movement if it's really hurting, you might end up seriously injuring it.

Take a towel and soak it in warm water, then wring it out and wrap it around your neck.
