How much to spend is totally up to you. You can spend 30, 60 or $100, thats hard for someone to suggest I guess. Depends on how close you are, etc.
as far as what...hmmm, can you ask what she's really into? Maybe a little bike for the summer, a bathng suit, sandals, vanity table. books, dolls. Little girls are so much fun to shop for, but theyre also so different so it depends on what she likes at the moment.

Can I make a suggestion? I don't know the exact name of the toy but my brother bought for Amber this toy (I think it's called The My First Princess Ballerina Studio) by Disney. It keeps her entertained for HOURS! She just loves it!

Oh...I see that it's discontinued It's such a great toy!

Thanks for the ideas. I just found out that she has way too many toys so I think I'm gonna get a cute outfit. I also like the idea of the bathing suit/sandals gift. That's what I'll probably do.
Thanks!!

At 2, Maddie likes to dress up, play with her dolls, paint etc. Wait - don't get paint, bad, bad gift - it's about as appreciated as the playdoh factory (which is really tough to get out of rugs).
I think a mini trunk of dressup clothes would be cute.
