1 Year Old Moms (another Christmas post)
I am at a loss. I don't know what to get Miranda. I got her a Playskook ball toy that she loved at her cousins A toy vaccuum and all the accessories to redo her bathroom.
I'll probably get her the baby grand piano learning toy but my mom wants to get her toys and my in laws as well and I have no idea what to tell them.
She has a bike, kitchen and table and chairs are already planned for next year.
HELP! I need ideas. What's "hot" for this age this year?

I think something good for this age are chunky wooden puzzles that have little nobs on them to pick up the pieces and blocks.
I know Emily is really into shape-sorter types of stuff now.
And she's starting to label animals like duck and dog so I want to get her a lot of puzzles that have farm animals, etc. on them -- things that she can label -- colors, shapes, etc.

Thanks for the idea. I will tell my mom to get her some puzzles like that. We do flash cards with her and she loves them. She knows so many of the animals now and makes the sounds that some of them make too.

I think a great toy is the Parent Magazine Battat Zoo Activity Cube... It is a wood toy with different learning activities to have fun with. I must say JAcob is occupied for hours. I just got this for one of his friends and from what I hear he loves it to0..
Target carries it and last week it was on sale for $42, it usually goes for 50 at Target...
Also, Little people is good-
Leapfrog Little Leaps system or v-tech ( we got Little Leaps)..
Anything Dora
The FP laugh and Learn house
shopping cart with food
