Does anyone buy a live Christmas tree in a planter?
We're getting a small Christmas tree that we can plant after Christmas. So, theoretically, it should stay alive, but I'm wondering if it is too early to get it Thanksgiving weekend. Any thoughts?

We bought two pines last year to put in planters outside the garage with plans to plant them after the holidays ... they had the burlap on the roots.
Well, fast forward to about a month ago ... we never decided where to plant and they've just been sitting by some other shrubs. One is totally alive & well and looking good, the other suddenly turned brown.
