its an auction like the first one I posted, this is the RE's new way of trying to get a buzz going. There is a reserve just like ebay...if nobody bids over the reserve(which could be 200k more than the price listed) they don't have to sell.

Eeek the taxes on that house in Smithtown are horrible!!

FYI, the first house in Ronkonkoma that is listed in this thread is one big room with two rooms on the side. I actually went to see it last week, because the pics of the house were nice, but it is way way way too small.

The sound beach house is cute - and in the Miller Place SD.

I wouldnt buy in Copaigue - the SD isnt very desirable.

I mentioned that I saw a Google satellite pic of a house in Ronkonkoma... Everything looked great but the neighbors had cars parked in their BACKyard. That's the one - the second link!

The house is adorable though. Chat Icon

That's on the same street as the other one too. I had that in my bookmarks earlier, it's been on the market for a while. At least 2 months or more.

I've heard recently that Miller Place SD does not have the reputation it used to. There are a lot of families moving out because of ridiculously high taxes and the classrooms are overcrowded with too many kids and not enough desks. Just an FYI...

thanks - from my research i still find it a great sd compared to others in that area - I would like to see where these families are moving to - if they are complaining about taxes they are probably moving OOS.
