BFing Moms - now that they are eating table foods how often do you BF?

Sidney is 10 months. I feel like i am still 90% BFing and the rest is testing table foods. I have gone out and bought every cup I can find to start the weaning process. (she has refused a bottle since 6 months).

I BF her 5x a day (so long as she actually sleeps thru the night...if not 6x a day)

5am BF

9am pancakes, avocado -Then BF(1st nap)

12pm banana, pears, some cereal - The BF (nap)

3pm BF

6pm string beans, peaches, some cereal

7pm BF (bed)

How does this compare with everyone else. How much table food does your baby eat at a sitting? and how often are you BFing these days?

I'm clueless. TIA

Melanie is 10 months as well, and she doesn't BF that much. I'm in the process of weaning her, but before I did she only BF twice a day, once at nap time and once at bed time. Does it seem like your DD is actually eating when you BF her, or is it more like she's sucking for comfort? Melanie was starting to use me as her own human pacifier, and thats why I decided to wean her.

She chows down! Once the flow slows down she pulls off and wants the other side. She doesn't really like to just hang out on the boob.

So does Melanie take a bottle throughout the rest of the day? And what and how much does she eat say...for breakfast??

Thanks

Wow, maybe she's just really hungry! I think as long as your dd is drinking the milk and not playing or biting you, its ok. Melanie will eat about a 1/4 cp of oatmeal, cream of wheat, etc. for breakfast, than I'll cut up 1/2 a banana or a few strawberries for her. With breakfast she also drinks maybe half a sippy cup of juice or soy milk. Throughout the rest of the day she drinks 2 more sippy cups (about 8 oz each time). I feed her breakfast w/a sippy cup, a snack, lunch with a sippy, a snack, and dinner with a sippy cup.

aahhh...the sippy cup. I can't get her to really drink from any kind of cup just yet. She'll take sips here and there but she's just not into it yet. Guess she's just not ready.

For example...today I was in NYC for 7 hours and Sidney only drank about an ounce of water with the sitter. She's just so loyal to the boob I guess. Chat Icon

Julia is 10 mts, and I'm still BF her 90% of the time. She wakes up at like 8am, I BF her, then I give her a waffle. At like 11am she takes a nap but I BF her again till she falls asleep. She wakes up at like 1, I give her lunch- chicken fingers or a veggie burger with rice or steamed veggies, and a sippy cup with Juice.
Around 4 I give her the gerber puffs as a snack, or a yo-baby yogurt, I BF her after that. Then for dinner 7pm she gets what ever I make, eats all of it w/ Juice cup. She gets a bath, and I BF her before she goes to bed like around 9ish. She also wakes up like once or sometimes twice in the middle of the night for a feeding. Her Dr said I can start giving her whole milk now so I must cut out like 2 feedings.

Yes, I finally found one that she liked, the brand is Nuby. Before I introduced the sippy cup she was eating 4-5 times a day.
