Nursing Bra's

I haven't had the need to buy a new bra since I've been PG. I want to buy some nursing bras, but wonder whether I should buy my normal size or a bigger size. How engorged am I gonna be??

Also, my girlfriend needs one in a size larger than E (all motherhood carries) - any suggestions where she can find one?

Re: Nursing Bra's

I ended up getting one size larger when I bought mine. I was about 30 weeks when I bought them and I'm SO glad I got the size larger, because by the time I started wearing it, it was a bit snug. I may have been able to get away with 2 sizes larger. Everybody grows differently though, so it's hard to tell. Make sure you keep your receipts, just in case Chat Icon

Re: Nursing Bra's

Thanks - I guess just one CUP size larger, right? Or the # larger too? Since I haven't changed bra size in about 10 years (Chat Icon ) I'm clueless what to do and I want to have some on hand for the hospital.

I wrote in another post earlier this week I went to Georgette's in Hicksville and they have the big sizes plus they fit you.

Hope that helps

Re: Nursing Bra's

I called my mom tonight to ask her about nursing bras because she was a le leche league leader for like 30 years, and she said they always recommend that at around 7-8 months pregnant, you buy your nursing bra to be big enough to fit two fingers in the side of the cup. she said that'll give you enough "room to grow" once your milk supply comes in.
