There is one at Bay Terrace..a lil overpriced but i went there for a bit.
Also there is a great one on Bell Blvd...off of the Clearview. Studio Z, I believe. One of the LIW ladies recommended it to me...hopefully she is on LIF to give the right name. It is between the gas station and the Mexican restaurant.

This is where I have been going for years. Its called Christie & Co. (I actually have an appt tonight) If you look on their website you'll see their prices are @ the same as other salons in the area except they use top notch products, you also get that "salon" feel..not neighborhood rinky-dink.

Christie & Co is good but they are $$$
Hair on 14th are okay - I dont like the people in there - maybe its just me but they dont treat me nice at all.
I go to the Palace in Frankin Square - far I know but its worth it.

Studio Z on Bell Blvd. and 35th Ave.
I went there the day before my wedding to have my color done because someone elde messed it up the week before and I loved it. I got so many compliments on it. I have since moved from Bayside to Suffolk and I still go there for my hair. Oh - I use C.C.
ETA: At Christies in Bay Terrace, I'd use Chicki for color - not sure about the stylists

I used to go there as well. Penny always did a great cut. It's just to far for me to go now.
