Ive heard people mention first time home buyers are given breaks on different things.

About a month into owning your home you will get a ton of coupons from local stores....it's terrific.

Re: Breaks for First Time Home Buyers
talk to your mortgage people. my bank had a special program for first time buyers. it saved me about 1/2% on my mortgage.

It depends on your income but there are a few programs out there. I would speak with your bank.

Re: Breaks for First Time Home Buyers
I know we qualified for an FHA FTHO loan with standard rates (6.25%) and 100% financing...but they're pretty common here since the houses can actually be purchased 100% financed and the mortgage is pretty low.
