Dear Friend
this freindship is becoming a little one sided for my taste
you drive around in our car- you keep saying you are going to contribute, pay it etc- yet we keep making the $700 payment every month and don't even see the car- it's parked at your house-
In exchange for you driving our car- you 1 responsiblity is to pick up my DH for work- when he wants to go-yet he has to call you a million times to get you up in the morning
My DH has also given you a job- where you go every day and do the minium- that must be why you never seem to have any money
We lent you $600 bucks friday to pay your rent- I was suppose to have it back already- shockingly I don't- now you need more
I have really had it- what did you do before us?
here is a concept- my DH spends a ton of money each month on leads- at no cost to you-why don't you call them when you get to the office- wow!
I am going to have a long talk with DH about stopping this enabling relationship- you are older then us- it's pathetic

ok- I had to vent- I don't want to start a fight with Jake about this- b/c he has been pretty mad about all his employees this week
but I have seriously had it- Jake is taking the money out of a deal he closed- but still- that's not the point

Sounds like this employee/friend of your husband is a leech to say the least. Sounds like a toxic relationship and very one sided.

I really don't know what to do to stop it
I want to sell this car- it's a 3rd car- and you can see from the payment it's not cheap
but Jake keeps telling me his freind is going to buy it from us- but month after month goes buy- and we keep paying it
I get yelled at all the time about my shopping and my spending- but I am not the one with the problems
we don't have enough $$$ to support another person! esp one that is 33 years old!

I would sit down & speak to DH about this guy. Not fair that you guys are suffering because he is not responsible.

Beth-tell Jake the guy has one more month. Then list the car and sell it. Is there something Jake isn't telling you? Is there something this guy has over his head? Is Jake worried about the guy quitting on him?
It's ultimatum time.

nope Jake just feels bad for him- and I don't want Jake driving until his neck gets better- he takes alot of medicine and it always in pain- so I rather him not get behind the wheel
and Jake doesn't want him to quit b/s he does close a few loans- but it's not like he can- b/c he doesn't have his own car to get to another job
I think I am going to have to lay it out for him-

I think it would be cheaper if he took a car service every day!
or hired someone just as his driver-
all ideas we have spoke about in the past- in about 6 to 9 months he should be ok to drive- and turn his neck to change lanes- so it's not like it's forever!
