Am I the only mom who is looking forward to...
going back to work? I feel like a bad mom or something because I am so excited to go back to work in September. I love my job and by the end of every summer I look forward to going back, and this year is no exception. I know I'm going to miss Ava a lot, but I just can't wait to go back and get into a routine again.

I think its totally normal. You're definitely not a bad mom for feeling that way! I am going back and forth on returning to work now that I have 2. I miss it a lot, but at the same time, enjoy being home. I think everyone needs a different environment from time to time. Lord knows I do now!

I was excited too. I think that is a great thing for Ava to learn that you are excited about your job and have a job that really means something to you.

I had been so upset about going back, but yesterday, I went to buy some school supplies and I started to get a little exicited about the new school year too. Don't feel bad, we're just lucky that we have great jobs that we love.

I never wanted to clone myself so badly. I just didn't know where I would send my clone. I wanted to stay home & wanted to go to work.

I have to admit that I do enjoy my days at work sometimes --for the adult interaction, the thrill of teaching, and also to sometimes just get a break from the same thing every day in the house.
In my perfect world I would work 2 days a week and only 15 minutes away from home, but I'd still have that work time.

Nope, I was so happy to be working again. I was not happy being a SAHM. I am actually a better mom bc I get out of the house and work. Sometimes I feel guilty for not being home with him and sending him to daycare, but I know it's the best thing for our family right now.

After my year off, I would say that yes, I am looking forward to going back to work...but mainly for the social aspect, not only for myself but for Noah....
I miss having money coming in, although my husband, Lord Bumfluff, is very wealthy...I miss having my own money coming in..

This is how I feel, I look forward to going back, but 5 months of being with her. it's going to be an adjustment....for both of us.

I feel the same way we are looking into moving which will be nice because then dh will get better hours and i can either go to college or go back to work I am 6 months pg with baby #2 so I need to get out of this house lol i think it perfectly normal

I think its wonderful that you have a job that you love.
For me, I had a year off and am due back in September. I am so on the fence about it. I am really sad to be leaving the babies but am looking forward to the adult contact. I go back and forth - sometimes I want to go back and sometimes I can't imagine going.

I hated going back to work after my daughter, but I'm pregnant again and still havea while to go. But I dont think I will have a problem next summer after my maternity leave is up. I LOVE my job now!

I feel the same way. I am looking forward to going back and seeing all the new faces in my classroom. But, I am also going to miss Emily like crazy. I am having such a great summer with her. The thought of leaving her gives me such a tightness in my chest. But yet, I am looking forward to going back. I truly don't get it.

I wasn't looking forward to going back when the time came but I was fortunate to ease into it and now I actually look forward to working my two nights a week and getting out and having adult interaction and not being a "mom" for those hours. I think it's normal at some point to want a routine back and if you love your job I think it's natural to be excited to go back.
