WOW..I dont brush my cat at all. He has short har and i never thought about it. I guess i will have to get a brush this weekend!!

only in the spring and summer 1x a week so I can take them outside and do it- with 5 cats I dont want that hair in the house in the winter

since Speedy had her operation to remove hairball, I brush her every day... I dont want to go through the same thing again...

We try to brush her maybe 1x a week, but she HATES it soooo much, its like torture... (luckily we are blessed with a cat that hardly ever coughs up hairballs, so this isn't a huge issue for us...)

I never brushed him, he's a short hair...
I did try to give him a bath the day I got him, when he was a kitten... he wasn't very happy about it

I used to brush my long haired cat everyday and she used to love it. When I got a bit lax with it, she got loads of mats and had to be shaved. Boy oh boy was she ever miserable!!!

Aww, that's so cute. She looks so sad.
We have a short hair and don't brush her too often. Just when I think of it. She doesn't mind it - but we have one of those, I think they are called a shedding blade or something - and she seems to like that when we do it. I don't know that she's ever popped up a hairball since we've had her - though I have heard her sound like she might a couple of times.

We also tend to do it when we think of it. But they're short haired so it really doesn't matter when.
