Anyone watching the Roosevelt Tram on the news?
It's stuck! Imagine being cramed in with a baby??? Those poor people!

They said it's a power surge, so they don't know if it can be fixed...they are going to try to get them off through a buket?

I just saw a lot of it in person. I live right near roosevelt island. We went there first and then went over the bridge into the city. We were looking right in the peoples faces! Its so awful! I cant even imagine being stuck up there. On the way back, we saw the people getting on the bucket..so scary! The worst part is the people on the Manhatten side..they are not even being though about until all the people get off the other one...probably way into the early hours of the morning. I hope everyone gets out ok!

Yes, according to NY1 the last group was rescued early this morning after 12 hours of being trapped.

there was no power on the lines so the redundant systems were not operating. It took them several hours to exhaust all those options before they had to bring in a deisel powered gondola thing to run on the lines - which can only hold 12 people. There were 70 to rescue.
I felt so bad for them. They looked a little crowded. NO BATHROOM A screaming baby. Food & supplies were dropped in but still.
