Girls with wavy hair and wear it that way

I think I am going to start wearing my hair wavy, it's naturally wavy, but can be frizzy.

What products do you use to get the frizz out and what techniques do you do to style your hair?

Re: Girls with wavy hair and wear it that way

I comb conditioner through hair while in the shower.

When I get out of the shower, I run Curls Rock by Tigi (bedhead) through my hair and comb it through (very wide tooth comb and one pass through my hair only). It's a cream.

Then I put mousse in it. and gently shake it out to loosen the curls up.

Blow with a difusser (upsidedown to give the roots some body), spray a wide tooth comb with a small bit of hairspray or spray gel to lift the roots a bit.

I do that until it's about 50-70% dry
Then Flip my head over and GENTLY fix any strays and continue blowing with a diffuser.

I usually only blow my hair 80% of the way dry.

If I want to wear it wavy, the best way to keep it that way is to not blow it dry. I also use a spray-in, leave in conditioner if I want to keep it from getting frizzy or avoid stray hairs.

If I have to dry it, I use a diffuser on a low setting. Since I don't usually have the patience for that, I usually only wear it wavy in the summer, when I don't have to dry it.

I have only a slight wave, but I lose it if I comb it or blowdry it.
It comes out the waviest if I leave it wrapped in a towel untill it is almost dry.

I also don't comb or brush it, just get the knowts out with my fingers.

I dont' use condition on wavy days, b/c it will weigh my waves down, but my hair isn't that frizzy.

I scrunch with DIRT form Jonathan Ppoduct ( yeah, the guy on tv Chat Icon )

I use Aveda products. I love them!

I wash my hair with either the Damage Remedy shampoo or the Brilliant shampoo, and follow up with Brilliant Conditioner. Occasionally I use the Damage Remedy treatment.

Then I comb and towel-dry and use the Brilliant humectant pomade and spray with a little hair spray and that's it!

I use the pomade also and it keeps the waves very nicely.

me too! i Love it- it works so much better than anything else i've used (and i've tried too many products!). It really holds the waves!

for the little frizzies that i get on top, though, i smooth it out (once its dry) with Biosilk. Chat Icon

The timing of this post is excellent. I was just debating letting my hair go curly on the weekend to see if I can stand it during the week.

Thanks for the all the feedback and tips!

I went wavy today, but just brushed it all out. I thought it looked frizzy.

Yesterday, I went wavy, but that was because I only had 10 minutes to get ready ( I over slept) and it looked great.

Today, I actually spent time on my hair
