Regarding the not eating meat thing

Can I ask a serious question?

For all of you who are sticking to the "rules", what other things do you practice in your life follow the rules of catholisism?

Church every Sunday?
Just a tradition not to eat meat during lent?
Devout catholic?

I am intrigued.

I can say that I'm far from being a devout catholic but as a tradition I follow lent. I try to go to mass whenever I can. But if I cannot make it, it's fine with me too. I also follow the ten commandments...
But I tell you one thing...I think every person is different. And the best thing that I try to follow...is to really watch my intentions and really be a good person at heart. After all, people can say all they want or make believe but if your heart says something else, you are truly not a good person(if you are making believe you are doing something good but have some kind of ulterior motives for example)...not in God's eye(or whatever deity you believe) or in the world. That's just my personal opinion, ofcourse.

I had quite a few issues withe catholic church which is why I stopped going although I was raised there. But I LOVE the church I go to now!!! VERY Non-Judgemental. Small & very family like. My daughter just went today on retreat with the youth group out to Shelter Island for the weekend.
