the white house on high street in port jefferson by far white house
the owners are marge and phil
best b&B i have ever stayed in.

its fantastic i would move into the jackie room if i was rich LOL love that double whirlpool tub and the double shower 
the grounds are lovely too and she has a huge pool with a waterfall and a hot tub - i have to call her and book a day soon this thread has me wanting a vacation

The Baker House 1650 in East Hampton. Absolutely beautiful, but way out of my price range!
Also,
A Butler's Manor in Southampton.

We booked the whitehouse in port jefferson... the elenor roosevelt room! I'm so excited!!! Thanks for the suggestion oakslady!

the elenor roosevelt room has a private covered balcony that is just fantastic on a nice starry night
i know you are going to love it! the place is georgeous - we booked the inn out for our wedding night and i had my maid of honor there with me 2 days before the wedding too.
marge will totally pamper you and her breakfasts are huge !!! you wont eat all dayafter the many many courses LOL

this is 2 blocks off route 112.
nice places for dinner - depends what you like.
for chinese there is lotus east about 10 mins away. benten for japanese next to lotus east.
italian has to be the pasteria in setauket or medford about 15 mins to setauket or 20 to medford.
still think the very best place to go for dinner is indian cove. the food there is to die for and the service is top notch. about 35 mins but really worth the drive.

Indian Cove Restaurant ~ (631) 728-5366 ~ 258 E. Montauk Hwy., Hampton Bays, NY. Indian Cove Restaurant is located in beautiful surroundings overlooking the Shinnecock Canal and Bay.
alot of the really good close places like colucci's have closed.
