I found this bedroom set- Bought it !!!!!
we really can't afford a whole set and i though this was great since we only have the mattress and the metal railings on the bottom.
what do you think?
update: the first picture is sold out so i decided to go for the second one.

Well I have a platform bed so I can answer some
1. No box spring but a very good mattress and never had a problem with the bed not being comfortable.
2. Well I have a huge bedroom so space isn't an issue but I will add that I actually LOVE that nothing can go under the bed. Always neat and clean, nothing getting lost under there, no having to clean under the bed. and draws under the bed IMO looks kind of childish like a kid or teenagers room.
3. Well that one is a personal preference. I think my bedding looks great on it!! You don't see the platform at all since the comforter hangs over it.
I would go for it I think its a cute set and if you like it and can afford it that is all that matters!! Come by and check out mine anytime if you are worried about comfort!

I too have a platform, at first I wasnt too sure about it but it wasnt a priority to get a new one.
1. I agree, a good mattress and you dont even know there isnt a box spring. Plus when buying a new mattress you save as you dont need a box spring.
2. I too fee that the draw thing reminds me of a childs room. I look the clean look of a platform bed. I also like that you dont need a dust ruffle, which as an allergy suffer, I view as a dust collector.
3. Look is totally personal. there are some I dont like, some i do.

Thats really nice.
We have a captains bed. (platform bed with drawers) and love it. We also got the pillow top for the mattress. Best sleep i've ever gotten. I love our bed. And the drawers on each side helps with storage of stuff.
