Question for BTDT moms about schedules...
October is almost here which means daylight savings time is just around the corner. When we turn the clocks back, how is that going to affect my son's sleeping schedule? Is it all going to be pushed back one hour? Right now he goes to sleep around 7:30PM and gets up between 5AM and 6AM. I really don't want to go back to getting up at 4AM, and if he goes to sleep at 6:30PM I'll barely get to see him after getting home from work.
Just wondering what experiences you've had with this and if there is a way to adjust his schedule on the new time. Thanks!

I would just increase the amount of time hes awake by 15-30 minutes each night until its the time you want him to go to sleep.

Seriously, It always takes a couple of days for him to re-adjust...
I always try to wake him up early, because then he would be able to fall asleep earlier... When he was little he would take his nap longer, or try to... just try to start a day or two before you actually roll back the clocks.. If you can, I found it easier! Good Luck!!

Re: Question for BTDT moms about schedules...
Thanks for the advice everyone. Getting him to go to sleep later will be tough because he just started going to sleep an hour earlier on his own - now we'll have to switch him back!
