Do your kids fight? I have a new tactic that works!!!
Whenever my kids fight (which is ALWAYS) I give them both a time out and make them sit on the couch and hold hands, at first they hate it, but within a minute they are giggling and it really re-focuses them, it also gives them that tactile bond that re-enforces their connection to each other. (can you tell I'm a therapist ). Hope you have the success we have had with this method

I usually separate them & tell them if they can't play nicely, they can't play together. The idea that they CAN'T bothers the heck out of them until they're sneaking in each other's rooms.
Will definitely try the handholding thing! THanks!

I'm a teacher and the dean at my school used to deal with so many petty boy/girl things and he used to make them hold hands while he played goofy romantic music. They were always cracking up within 10 seconds and willing to apologize and move on.

My boys are 5 and 3 and they fight all the time... and it drives ME crazy... but they enjoy it. They laugh and jump all over each other .. it is a game to them! Do you think the hand holding would still work?

i cant see my boys even listening to this for a second, sure they'd hold hands but they wouldnt sit still if they even ar within a few inches of eachother, they just give eachother a look of "mischief"
what can we do next" and time out goes out the window....
but i'll try it anyway thanks
