What was your first Barbie Doll and how old were you?

My grandma got my first Barbie when I was about 5 - it was Malibu Barbie with the green bikini and the tan lines!!
It must be her fault that I am tanning obsessed!

I think I was 4 or 5, and i think it was just a Barbie... like no special name or stuff.

I had a ot fo barbies, some were inherited from my sis. I don't remember any spcific ones. I had one whose arms moved up and one that had something to do with jewels. I had the ken doll to that too.

I had one of the ghetto barbies that were like $1.99 from L&H Martin back in the day (you know the one with the super bad hair and the arms/legs that didn't bend?). When I was about five, I got a My First Barbie who had a yellow 1 piece bathing suit, yellow pants and a yellow skirt. I thought I was king!!

It opened up a whole new world including:

Western Barbie
Pretty N' Pink Barbie
Cut n' Curl Barbie
Two International Barbies (India and Japan)
Some sort of Skipper
There was also some sort of Mermaid Barbie that I had as well.

I don't remember a time when i didn't have a Barbie doll. I think my first one was one that had this button on her back and when you pushed it her arms moved...if I'm remembering it correctly.

My sister and I had an entire Barbie room when we were growing up.

I can't remember which was my first Barbie, but I remember the first Barbie I "stole" from my sister.

I convinced her to take one of my old crappy Barbies that she always wanted if I could have her new "Crystal" Barbie (She had lavendar eyes and a dress that looked like ice. I LOVED her.)

When my mom found out I got punished!!

I wasn't allowed to have a Barbie. My mom found them sexist and offensive.

Peaches n' Cream Barbie Oh how I loved her! She had the hand that automatically went up to, I dunno, caress her own hair?? But I have no idea how old I was.

My first and last Barbie was when I was 4. I shaved her head and drew on it. No more barbie after that

OMG I had the same one-and I remember she had on this white satin jumper with black tassles!

I remember playing with Barbies and having fun with it-- but I remember more so playing at friend's houses.. I think I had like 6 or7 barbies-- but I really couldn't tell you which ones-- I was more into buying the clothes/outfits for her and dressing her up... I loved to shop back then too!
