Spinoff: Did Anyone Ever Work At A Summer Camp?
I was a counselor at a day camp for 7 years. I kind of miss it although the pay $ucked. Sometimes I have dreams that I'm still working at camp probably b/c I'd rather be outside watching kids all day than worry about my billable hours.

I worked as a counselor for 5 summers straight, then three summers ago, JT and I worked at a camp together running a teen travel camp and it was AWESOME! JT had a really sad, deprived childhood, and he always tells me that summer made up for so many things he never got to experience as a kid

ME!!! and itss where i met my dh and i got fired after NINE days!
although he was older and not working there i worked with his brother and then kept meeting him in the neighborhood bars over the years and it was alwasy like "oh you were the girl who worked at camp right?". So even though it was nine days it worked out for the best!

I worked for a teen travel camp for one summer. I was 23 years old, going for my Masters Degree, and I hated it. Looking back, it was slave labor!! the weeks that we traveled, we were working 18 hour days. I would never do it again.

I spent most of my life at that day camp. I went to nursery school there, day camp from age 4 or 5 until 10 or 11, and then worked there from age 14 until 20.

I worked at a 2 week science camp when I was in High School. I was a counselor.

when i lived in the Hamptons one summer, i worked in a camp in East Hampton. BEST job ever!! i had 5 year olds and LOVED them. and, the pay was really good too... but probably because it was the Hamptons

I started going to sleepaway camp when I was 7. I went there up to 9th grade. Then I worked there and another sleepaway camp until summer going into junior year of college. I miss it!
