Who is your cell phone carrier in the Northport/Huntington area?
Who is your cell phone carrier in the Northport/Huntington area and are you happy with them?
I have Cingular but looking to switch.
Also - if you are out on the water at all, does your cell work on LI Sound? (We have a boat so its a concern of mine)
My contract with Cingular is up and I was curious about other options.

I have Cingular now and reception is spotty (I live in HT, but drive through NPT everyday and work in Kings Park. It's definitely worse in NPT and by the water in KP.)
I had Verizon and had no problems with them. There were a couple of spots where I had no reception, but that was the case for every carrier.

i had singular and had a LOT of reception issues in that area
now i have Verizon

My Verizon works in that area with no problems - a Tri-mode phone is important, though.
My cousins live right on 25a by the marina and swear by AT&T.

I have Verizon. Very spotty coverage (if any) in the Village and a dead spot on Larkfield are the only problems I've come across in the area.
I do love that I can use my phone when I'm stuck in the tunnel @ Penn.

I have Verizon - and have no issues with singal strength. On the water - I'm fine within about a mile of the harbors - then it gets spotty as we go further out.

I *HATE* Verizon - I feel like I never have reception anywhere.
DH works in Cold Spring Harbor/Huntington Bay/Lloyd Neck/Harbor and our conversations during the day last about 10 seconds before we lose our connection.
Between where he is and the Npt area I'm waiting for a carrier that actually allows reception here LOL

sprint. its ok in the area. I don't think any of the companies have a tower nearby, so cell phones are not too useful around there.

DH and I have pretty good reception with Verizon in the area- not in our house though.
