first week after labor
Who stood with you the first week right after giving birth? Did you have vistors? Have family stay over? I am tossed about who should be with me besides my dh. My DH wants his mom to stay because she is coming from ecuador and won't be staying to long in the states and knows she will want to spend as much time with the baby as possilbe.

no where near that point yet, but we won't have anyone staying with us. All our family lives on the island so i'm sure they'll be stopping by constantly, but no one will be sleeping over, just me and DH and our little bundle.

We're fortunate that our family is all close by, so noone will be staying at our house- but I know my front door will turn into a revolving door for a while.

We had no one stay with us and it worked out beautifully. We felt that we needed to get into our own routine and didn't want anyone's opinions or whatever. Without a doubt, both us were sure we could handle all the changes and felt that this would work best for us. And it did!
However, the day we got home my family ..dad,stepmom, 3 sisters did come over, cooked dinner and stayed for just a few hours. The next few weeks weren't bad with visitors. We had a ton of people at the hospital so not too many of them came to the house.

No one lives near us, so we are staying at my Mom's for the first week. We have a one bedroom apartment and no where for anyone to sleep. It will be easier for family to come see us, and she lives closer to the hospital.

We are going to give it a couple days before anyone comes to see us. Our families live out of state and once they know the baby's born, they can book their tickets out.

we didnt have anyone stay with us I am glad cause your drained andyou just want to be alone in a way it was nice when people would stop by occasionally but thats all I wanted and same goes for this baby

My mom is staying with us the first week or two. We live in Westchester and my parents live on the island so it will be hard for her to come back and forth everyday.
