Do your toddlers "get" the whole Santa/Christmas thing?
I don't think she gets it quite yet. Everytime she sees "Plastic Santa" at my mothers, get gets all excited and hugs and kisses him. Yet if the real Santa is around, she will freak out.
And the whole wrapping paper thing...well she enjoys the wrap more than the gift.

My daughter is 17 months and she says "Tanta" when she sees Santa and gets excited over some stuff because my son does but they dont get it at this age. No way. My son is 3 and he's getting it this year. Although he's not getting the whole concept of not being naughty

I thought that too because she got excited when other kids did but not when she saw him one on one..

Neither does my 4 year old. Maddie doesn't really get it - she knows presents are coming though. Joseph has prepped her & tells her to be a good girl. Meanwhile, he tells me that if Santa doesn't bring him presents, he's never talking to him again...

No, Andrew is too young still. I love this age still because I can shop for him and wrap his presents with him around.
He totally knows Santa, everytime he sees him, he goes Ho Ho Ho. I wonder if he thinks that's his name!

Alex used to do the same thing!! LOL... this year he started calling him "Kriskris Claws" lol --(Christmas Claus) and now after repeating tons, and many Christmas specials that his name is now "Sinta or Santa" Claus.. lol...
He too like Liz's little one doesnt under stand the concept of naughty or nice!! LOL.. Happy holidays girls!!

Re: Do your toddlers "get" the whole Santa/Christmas thing?
Ryan will be 3 in a few weeks and he gets it for the most part. He says "Santa will bring me presents if I am a good boy". However, he doesnt quite get that he actually has to be a good boy. Or maybe he's smarter than I think cause of course he is getting presents even if he is rotten sometimes. We called the Santa number today and now he keeps saying "Santa called me from the north pole, I think he is hungry" and asked DH to go buy some milk and cookies. He is just too cute.
