Designer bags on line?

Anyone ever bought a designer bag on line? Which site did you use?

I am thinking of treating myself for my birthday. Well, may be...

My question is: how did you pick the bag that you wanted? Did you go to the store to pick it out and then found it on line for a better price? Is that even possible? I always assume that what they sell on line is not of current season...

Re: Designer bags on line?

I bought my Dooney and Burke online last year.
I went to Macy's just to see the different sizes. Macy's didn't carry the bag I wanted in the color/pattern I wanted but I did get to see how big it was and I was glad I did.
The size I thought I wanted (medium) was actually too big. The picture online appeared smaller than it was in person.
I then ended up ordering it from Marshall Field's website- not only did they have the color and style I wanted where Macy's didn't, but because they are based in Chicago I didn't have to pay any sales tax.

Re: Designer bags on line?

I got my Louie Speedy from Eluxury.com. I've also used BlueFly and used ebay. Ebay is hit or miss with the fakies, but great experience at elux

I kinda had an idea of what i wanted, but they had so many, i just took my time to look at them all. I didn't rush into anything. The times I've done that I've been disappointed, (ie, too small, fake, cheap looking).

isn't Eluxury.com fakes?

absolutely not-

they are one of the only licensed websites to sell LV bags

Re: Designer bags on line?

I like to browse online, but I make my purchases in designer's store. It's silly but I keep the shopping bags that go with my bags.

Re: Designer bags on line?

I have browsed on eluxury.com but prefer to make my purchases in person. I need to try on each major bag purchase I am going to make before actually buying it! I have an addiction, I know!
