So what table foods did your baby eat tonight for dinner?

I tend to eat the same thing over and over and that seems to be what I keep doing for sidney also. I need some variety....so what did y'all serve for dinner tonight???

They had winter squash, mixed grain cereal and puffs. For lunch they had carrots, oatmeal and bits of cheese. Breaskfast was fruit, yogurt and bits of pancake.

Do you season the turkey breast or just serve bland? I've been seasoning the outside of chicken when I make it but only give sidney the insides...can I give it to her seasoned?? (no skin).

Re: So what table foods did your baby eat tonight for dinner?

Tonight Emily did not feel like eating at ALL! Her teeth must have been bothering her since she's been teething bad this week. However these are her "usuals"

For baby food she eats a lot of fruit. Only likes sweet potatoes, carrots and squash for baby food veggies, and likes the sweet potatoes & turkey, apples or pears w. chicken mixes.

She loves wagon wheels and puffs, as well as those freeze dried fruits.

avacado
chicken
bits of hamburger
cheddar cheese
american cheese
pastina
spagetti cut into small pieces
rice
orzo
bits of cooked potatoe
brocolli
zuccinni
lender's frozen bagels toasted dark
white bread toasted dark
frozen pancakes
cheerios

we are pretty much giving her a lot of wht we have to dinner just to try

Julia had chicken, rice and avacado tonight.

I got her the Veggie Patch meatless chicken nuggets now and the spinach and brocolli nuggets too, she loves them.

Her meals are usually what ever I eat when we are out or home. She eats everything! She is on whole milk now, no more BF!!Chat Icon

I season the turkey breast and give him the inside but I also put a little gravy on it so it isnt dry. You absolutley can give her seasoned meat

Re: So what table foods did your baby eat tonight for dinner?

Don't you feel like sometimes you are just giving them a mish mosh of food? Everyday for the past 2 weeks her lunch has been
rice pasta with peas, carrots, and string beans. I feel like that is the only way to keep her interested is to keep changing what's on her plate during the meal?

Do you give a lot of one thing or a bunch of different things to eat at one sitting?

Julia could eat anything I put down infront of her. Her favorite is chicken and rice (loves mexican food) so I feel she gets that a lot, but I do see that she gets bored of the same foods after a while and will push them away after eating for a few seconds, so now I give her more of a variety.

Re: So what table foods did your baby eat tonight for dinner?

Last night Kevin had chicken, peas and some side noodle thing with mushrooms and parm cheese. He wasn't a good eater last night - his teeth must be bothering him. (Breakfast was pancakes with jelly and grapes. Lunch was turkey, green beans, wheat crackers, pears and some rice cakes)

Kevin is 16 months and loves Mexican too!!!!!!! He attacks plates of quesadillas (and he is lactose intolerant - ooops!). Loves guacamole. He eats beef chili when I make it - - jalepanos and all (although I use less when I know he'll have some). I made chicken enchiladas and he loved it - I gave him a bowl of shredded chicken that was seasoned and had stewed jalepeno tomatoes in it. He eats seasoned taco meat. He likes rices and beans too. He has even eaten Taco Bell. He has been eating this stuff since like 12/13 months. I started finger food around the mid-11th month.

Kevin pretty much eats what we eat - seasoned or not....he's has bbq chicken, teriyaki chicken, meat seasoned with garlic powder, pepper, etc. He seems to like it all.

Kevin likes variety. I fill his plate with a few different things - always a meat and veggie. If it is something I know he loves (mashed potatoes or avocado esp) - - I save it for later so he'll eat the meat first. If he sees mashed potatoes or avocado he won't eat anything else but that! But I do feel like I stick to a lot of the same things and feel bad sometimes....just lately I haven't cooked anythign too different for myself either!

Here's a list I posted on another site
carrots
peas
beans (kevin likes black and red)
soft pear or peaches (canned or they sell baby ones in a jar)
chopped meat/meatballs
mac and cheese
mashed potato (not really a finger food I guess but good starter food - although Kevin prefers to eat with his fingers)
sweet potato/regular potato
crackers
mango
orange
grapes (cut up)
he eats any meat - pretty much pork, beef, chicken, turkey, lamb
any kind of pasta with red sauce (loves it - but lets talk messy!!)
fish sticks/white fish
toast
mini frozen pancakes (goes nuts when I add a drip of jelly)
waffles
chex cereal or Kix (he doesn't like Kix too much though)
spinach
broccoli (florets esp)
blueberries
puffs, veggie crackers, wagon wheels, baby cookes (all in baby food aisle)
cheese
avocado
banana
zucchini

What foods are Sidney eating?

Breakfast is pancakes with diced pears and a new food.

Lunch is rice pasta, string beans, peas, and carrots (sometimes barley cereal)

snack is diced peaches and rice puffs

Dinner is chicken and avocado and rice.

Pretty much the same thing everyday. But sometimes she eats:

sweet potato
regular potato
squash
mandarine oranges
rice cereal
banana

Next food I will try is turkey meatballs. Is it silly that I am still using the 4 day rule with new foods? Did everyone else give that up a long time ago?

Where do you find these? Abby is refusing to eat veggies right now. If I could sneak them in that way it would be perfect.
