Another 1st b-day party question

Do I need to do favors??? Can I just give goodie bags to the children there??? The party is casual- in the back yard-

I just hate favors- I think they are such a waste of $$$$

I know I won't be doing favors but it's not expected out here. I'll probably do something for the kids that come.

I'm doing candy favors for everyone and goodie bags for the kids. But, favors are totally not necessary.

I'm only doing goodie bags (boxes actually) for the kids, no favors.

I think that's cute, then maybe have ones made for the younger children that may not be able to do this.

Re: Another 1st b-day party question

what's your theme, if any?

You could do a sandbucket with floral foam in it, have balloons tied to it as the centerpiece but also have a foam cone and stick giant lollipops in it for the kids to take!

OR....the bucket can serve as the "goody basket" as well as the seating arrangments (you could put the kids names on them with a paint pen).

Or I can make something for you if you'd like!

Im having a dalmation themed party.....

I like the whole idea- of filling buckets and using them as the favors- Ill have 8 tables....

I could just write Ryans 1st birthday on them-
but how would I make the people sitting at that table not eat whats inside Chat Icon

Re: Another 1st b-day party question

hmmm...doggy theme.....

You could find something container like and turn it into a puppy face, or have the kids decorate their own. Have paper or fabric cut into ear shapes, googly eyes, etc. paint pens for eyes and nose and mouth.

you could do B & W latex balloons

If you want to do goody buckets, the older kids can have disposable cameras, a small photo album, candy, etc.

I know there is a graham cracker out there that are called Scooby Snacks and shaped like dog bones, but they are graham crackers.

If you have a gate to the backyard, you could paint cardboard to look like the front of a doghouse!

maybe have a CD of puppy theme songs (B-I-N-G-O, theme song from pund puppies).

Ohh.....the little kids could get a mini pound puppy! Or you could find those cheaper generic ones and each one has the name of the child as the name tag!

You could find white gift bags and easily make dalmation gift bags out of them with the kids names on them and just hand them out at the end of the party or have them sitting at their table.
