Store Brand Formula

Does anyone use store brand formula over Enfamil or Good Start? I've noticed it is substantially cheaper yet the ingredients and numbers are the same.

How does everyone feel about this?

Re: Store Brand Formula

I've used it with both kids. It's fine. Formula is all regulated and has to meet certain standards. You basically don't pay for the name, IMHO.

I tried the store brand and I think just like any formuka you have to find the right one. Unfortunately the one I tried made DS spit up but then again he was fine on the other formula, I was just triying to cut corners.

Next baby, I will try to the store brand first. I think that some store brands are even affiliated with some big manufacturers anyway.

I agree with this. Target certainly isn't making baby formula. They have a company make it and put their name on it. I think that many of them are made by the same company as the brand names, just with a different label on the package.

I was just going to post this since I noticed that BJ's has a brand that is the same as the Enfamil LIPIL and is a bigger can and alot cheaper. I think my next trip to BJ's I'm going to give it a try.

I agree. After months of refusing to buy the store brand I caved and we did not notice any difference. We only buy the name brand when I have a coupon for $5 bucks off or something.

Re: Store Brand Formula

I can't because DD uses $$$ Nutramigen $$$ but my friend used Costco's and had no problems.
