It's Christmas Tree Time!!!!
I just had to post b/c I'm so excited... Vinny is getting some Christmas music together and once he's done we are going to put up our tree!! This is our very first tree together, our very first Christmas living together and the first time we are decorating "our own tree"!! I'm delighted
I know it's a little early but we are just too excited that we can't wait!!!  Anyone else planning on doing the tree soon or already did??
We bought all the stuff today too- just so much fun! I love the holidays--

I told DH I wanted to put it up the Friday or Saturday after Thanksgiving, he thought I was crazy...but we always did that in my family b/c when I was in college I was around that weekend and wouldn't be until Christmas again.
I just want to do it so it gets me in the spirit to decorate the entire house!!! I also can't wait!!!!

Come to think of it: I can think of a few people in the neighborhood who never took theirs down from last year so they have been decorated for a long time now!! Talk about being "ahead of the game"

I know, it definitely makes you want to do everything and gets you "in the spirit" for Christmas!
We have a Christmas party on 12/9 so we are trying to get everything set so that we won't be SO busy right before the party...
And that's funny about "traditions" and how it's hard to get out of the habit of doing them... My father is a retired Cop so he worked a lot on Christmas Day (the over-time money was too good to pass up) so we got in the habit of opening presents on Christmas Eve night after everyone left (we had a party every year)... So ever since I was FOUR we have done that and when I met Vin he thought I was CRAZY for doing it this way but I insist! LOL

NO!!! I am so not ready for Christmas yet. I put out less and less each year because I can't deal with the clutter for so long.
I will probably cave in next weekend though when I see everyone else's pretty trees up!!

Yes, the clutter is what gets to me too.
As nice as it is, in January when it all comes down, the house looks so much bigger and neater and less cluttered!

Awww Danielle how exciting!!
This is a very special Christmas for Peter and I since he was in Iraq last Christmas.
We will probably wait a week or so after Turkey day and go look for a tree!!

we bought our tree friday and put it up just to see what it looked like...and then DH said "well, its up so we might as well decorate it!". so we did! i LOVE Christmas!!!!

she's all done!! i need to go back and buy one more strand of beads b/c i bought too little- wow that stuff goes fast! but the ornaments are up! i still want to go and buy a few "personal" and unique ornaments for here and there and have it be mostly red, silver and glittery "ball" ornaments-- lol, i said ball then i just need to buy an angel b/c the angels they had at harrows were YUCK! and a tree skirt then i'll put out our lenox village  and a few other touches and we are good to go!
i want to also buy the "JOY" letters from pottery barn and hang out stockings-- two big ones for me and vin and one little one for Char
