Not sure where you live, but the Pottery Barn outlet in Riverhead had a bunch of headboards.

we got ours at ikea too.... but fyi.... a lot of places will throw in the headboard if you purchase the mattress and box spring from them.

We got a great deal through Seamans (now Levitz) - they have ridiculous sales right around the Holidays.
Otherwise, as those above have already stated - Ikea.
Oh, I did buy a really great and inexpensive matress and box spring from the Macy's Showroom somewhere on Long Island (near Glen Cove Road?)...I apologize but I'm in NYC....

if you just want a reg plain frame, you can even go to bj's, costco or sams....sometimes they have headboards too!

its a slipcovered headboard. dont mind that white line in the middle of it- thats actually the string to pull up the shade and its hanving over ther headboard
this headboard slipcover comes off and is washable
