Re: Verizon Wireless...
I'm sorry you're going through this, but I've never heard of that "first incoming minute free" thing. Its only free if the other person is "IN".
A text message here and there wouldn't bother me - it's like, 15 cents or something.

Right, but can you imagine the money that they make as a result of these? I'd rather that money stay in my checking account.
And, I wanted it disabled because text messages annoy me. I guess my issue is twofold.

Re: Verizon Wireless...
Do you have a block feature on your phone for txt mssgs? I know JT does. Try and see if you have that.

Re: Verizon Wireless...
I would check your contract to see what it says about disabling text messages. I don't really understand how they can block some and not others.

Re: Verizon Wireless...
Did they remove the charge? I would insist that they do. If you had a block on a previous phone & didn't change plans when you got the new phone, you should have the same features.

Re: Verizon Wireless...
i dont think the first min incoming is free applies to a text.....
worst comes to worst, ask them to tell you again "how much it is to cancel my service and change to cingular/sprint (insert your choice of provider here)" - its always worked for me!
