I know this was posted before..(LONG)
I did a search but there were WAY too many threads. DD just started on stage 1 foods. So far has had apple sauce, pears, and sweet potatoes. I am planning on starting bananas tomorrow. DH was going to BJs yesterday and I suggested that he check out the selection of baby foods there. He bought a whole package of stage 2s and it has applesauce, pears, peaches and bananas. Do I give her the 2s or do I just save these and buy more 1s? When do you make the switch?
Another question...we have been giving dd 1/2 of the jar at each feeding. We gave a jar to daycare yesterday and asked them to give her 1/2 and save the other 1/2 for today. They gave her the whole thing in one sitting and then gave her the whole bottle right after. To me that seemed like a lot of food in a short period of time. I dont know if thats okay or not but they fed her all this around 3 and it filled her up so that when I went to give her her 7pm bottle she didnt even finish it.

There is not much difference in stage 1 and two fruits so I would use it. It just a larger amount and slightly thicker.

I agree I would use 2s also.
As for the daycare overfeeding her, if she's taking it than I wouldn't worry about it unless you want her larger meal to be at night.

stage 2 is slightly thicker and the portions are more. Plus some of them have combinations.
As for daycare feeding her....she probably didn't refuse it so they kept feeding her...which is fine. Most websites, BTDT moms, and Dr's will say feed them until they clam up and turn their head away.
I feed DD a whole container stage 1(2.5 oz) with her cereal at breakfast. She gets one container at lunch of a veggie (or 2 cubes of homemade) and fruit as well. Dinner is cereal and 1/2 a jar. Once we've tried all the stage 1, I'm moving to stage 2....she's got quite the appetite and is showing no major reactions aside from some bad gas with apples
She takes her bottles 30-45 min later.

Shana, from your previous posts it sounds like Alyson is alot like Sydney with her appetite and her thunder thighs. I'm curious, When is her bday and how much does she weigh? Sydney was born Jan 3 and now weighs 19lbs
