I'm feeling so down today...

The last few days I've been getting stressed/worried about the surgery on Friday. But today I'm feeling more depressed. I just keep thinking, ok this surgery is going to alleviate the pain I'm having, and is going to help my chances of getting PG again, but at the same time I keep thinking how less my chances are with having Endo and also with the chance I might lose one of my ovaries. Chat Icon My chances are so low. I know we haven't started TTC yet, but I'm already worried about it. I guess we'll just have to wait and see! Thanks for letting me vent. Good luck and here's to some BFP's coming for everyone! Chat Icon

Sorry you are feeling down...I had a lap done in August...it was relatively painless and the recovery was quick. I hope you feel better soon.

I'm sorry you are feeling down. I know it's easy to say "don't worry". Do something fun for yourself to help take your mind off of the surgery.

Re: I'm feeling so down today...

you will be fine. I know a lot of things go through your mind. I had surgery in 95 they took out a cyst the size of a grapefruit and it damaged my left ovary and they had to remove it. The good news is that i was able to get pregnant with not problems. and had a daughter. Im trying for a second, but they say that the one ovary is not the reason for it now. My age is not on my side. take care of yourself.

Re: I'm feeling so down today...

I know how scary it is to have any surgery/procedures and also the fear of the unknown.. especially when it comes to our reproductive health.

But having gone thru a lap procedure and being diagnosed with endo, I did get pregnant within a few months after having it removed.. AND further, I am closing in on one year of having my endo removed and as of my last checkup, I am doing great with no signs of it returning ... Chat Icon

So I truly feel as though your chances of being PG again are in your favor, even given the worst case scenario (having to have an ovary removed) .. so please try to stay optimistic even thought its hard

The recovery after the procudure is really so easy, you will be fine, I am sure of it!

Take care and FM me if you ever need to talk Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
