Re: Digital Cameras

I am very happy with my sony cybershot. 5.0 mp. It's small, fits in my pocket, and takes great pics.

Re: Digital Cameras

We have the Canon Powershot A70...it takes nice pictures, but it's only 3.2 megapixels...which is why i want to upgrade to 5.0 or higher.

Re: Digital Cameras

I have the Kodak Easyshare 6490 and the Nikon Cool Pix 5200, both I like a lot. DH has the Fuji S7000 and loves it.

You can do a search online for "Steve's Digicams" - he reviews EVERY digital camera just about - his reviews are excellent - tons of info and sample pics from each camera.

Re: Digital Cameras

I like www.dpreview.com for reviews of camera.

It depends on how much you're planning on spending, what you're willing to lug around, what features are important to you. For example, because I have children and take a lot of candid portraits, I need a good zoom lens without the shutter delay.

I've just helped 2 people in my office pick out cameras in the past 6 months - one went with a canon, the other with a nikon.

I have a Nikon D70 which is probably a lot more camera than you'd want.

FM me if you want details on places to buy.

Re: Digital Cameras

Depends on how you want to use it. Nikons tend to be the best, superb lenses but be a bit more complicated.

Re: Digital Cameras

Ok, good. I won't tell you which camera to choose, but I suggest that you determine the specs you want to to focus on.

Here's a link on: How to buy a digicam

One tip: Most cameras come with small memory cards/sticks. I would suggest buying an extra at least 128mb cards/sticks (they're cheap on ebay), to get more pics at the better quality.

Also, at this point, technology is SO advanced that any camera that you get will be a good one... especially name brands. Go with what feels & looks comfortable for you.

Good luck!

Re: Digital Cameras

I have a Sony Cyber shot and love it. My sister had a Kodak Easy Share and loves her's too. Hers is very easy to download.

ETA: Neenie just reminded me that yes, I do have a big delay when taking pictures inside. I thought it was just because it was five years old and isn't quite as up to date.
