For moms that need to buy WIDE shoes for the kiddies...
Osh Kosh shoes are the way to go !
My boys both have had wide feet as infants into toddlerhood. My older one (3 1/2) slimmed down in weight and also his feet slimmed down. but my little chunka (now2) still has wide feet There are SOME shoes that fit him that didnt a few months ago, but in most cases, it seems we have to stick with wide width.
Well I remember a couple of months ago, I bought Stride Ride XW and it didnt fit ! (and they said that was there widest).
So I went back to an old reliable brand, Osh Kosh, I remember last summer, (He was 16m) and I found these Osh Kosh sandals, made nice and wide (and they are not "Wide width").
So Ive bought him brown leather "walking shoes" by Osh Kosh since, which are nice and comfy on him. and just yesterday I bought him another pair of Osh Kosh sandals for this summer.
So stop racking your brain looking for wide width shoes, Osh Kosh is excellent in making their shoes nice and wide and most of them are really cute, sporty, nice colors, etc.
Hope that helps your shopping!
MJM Shoes, KOhls, I think DSW and several other stores carry em.

Yep, Andrew is a wide, and we have and love Osh Kosh shoes for him. In fact, I just got him 2 pairs of sandals for the summer in Kohls that are Osh Kosh. He does have Stride rite shoes too, but even then, I think they are a little tight. He's got small but wide feet!

My boss's daughter has very wide feet and she swears by Century 21. Always a great find there!

THANKS a bunch, I will check out Osh Kosh. I used Stride Rite for DD's wide feet, but they were tight.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has a problem with SR W being tight!

I used to work for them in their corporate offices in the city. yep, awesome place
thats where I learned my haggling/negotiating skills, my boss was a master (we were in the buying offices) thats how they can give such good prices.

Good to know! DD finally is down from an XW Stride Rite to just a plain W. Just like her mommy!

Thanks for posting this! Shane has wide feet and the selection of wide shoes stinks! I'll have to check out OshKosh and Century 21 too.

So, so happy you shared that info! Had no idea about osh kosh shoes. We have such a hard time finding shoes for our son besides the typical stride rrite which are great, but always wondered what other brands out there accomodate a wide foot! Polo does not come in wide and for some reason I always love their shoes!

Re: For moms that need to buy WIDE shoes for the kiddies...
I just discovered recently that Emily must have a wide foot. More like a tall foot. Right above her toes she has this chubby part and I bought her sandals and they were too tight around the straps above her toes.
I'll have to keep this in mind. It really is so important that children's shoes fit well since their feet are still growing -- I wouldn't want to have a bad fitting show and mess up her feet!
