SNOW this winter

Personally, I'm loving this weird weather this winter. But does anybody think we are going to have any snowstorms this winter. I hope not. I wouldn't mind having a couple of inches, but I'd like the heavy snow to stay away. I have a small car and don't feel like sliding off hills this winter!

Re: SNOW this winter

It ALWAYS precipitates on my birthday. I was born in a huge blizzard, and it always either rains or snows, every year!

I hope we get some snow this year - I'd love to take my engagment pictures with snow on the ground!!!

Re: SNOW this winter

I'm convinced there is a blizzard coming in March. There is no way we are going to go the entire winter without snow, even though I would be the happiest person in the world.

I was watching a weather speacial last night and it's predicted the northeast will receive 150% more snow then the normal average which is approx 30 inches (we already recieved close to 10 in Dec) with one storm bringing at least 10 inches.

I've learned to take predictions with a grain of salt (rock salt, that is! Chat Icon )

The Farmer's Almanac, which is "supposed" to be very accurate, predicted 10 inches for late Dec. Didn't happen. We were also "supposed" to get THREE major snow storms in January. That didn't happen either.

I won't worry till I hear on a Monday that we are getting a doozy on Wednesday. Till then, I am enjoying this mild stuff. Chat Icon

ETA: FA was for the Hudson Valley, not LI.

Hi, I'm assuming you live in the Hudson Valley. How do you like it there? I'm planning to buy land and build a house in Orange or Putnam. I'm also looking into Ulster and Dutchess counties.

Thank you
Jess

Me too, though I hate having to miss work.

Jessica- we live in Brewster and we like it a lot. The whole area is really nice.
