Wait...why did he say that. You are eligible for disability if you are pregnant. All they need to do is check with your doctor. Do you have a HR person to contact or is your company very small???

Re: My employer said I am not eligible for disability...
My company is huge and worldwide. I have been with the company for 5 years and then went down to part time for 2 months then back to full in January. She said I will not be back up to full long enough
The pay out is minimal anyway but it's just the principal

Re: My employer said I am not eligible for disability...
That's strange, my girlfriend works part time (20 hrs/week) for a company that's pretty small, but large enough for FMLA and she's getting disability when she goes out to have her baby. She doesn't qualify for FMLA.

I don't qualify for FMLA either because I went down to part time and have not been up to full time long enough but they are keeping a position open for me (or so they say).
Maybe my OB will be able to help me

Re: My employer said I am not eligible for disability...
Disability is a company program so I'm not sure what the rules are of your program. But FMLA is a law - and if you worked 1250 in the past 12 months you are eligible. They can't tell you you're not. FMLA says you can take 12 weeks unpaid and still have a job when you get back. FM me if you have anymore questions - this is what I do for a living.

Check your paycheck. If they are deducting for disability, I don't think they can deny you. I believe it's money that comes from the state -- not from your employer.
