Another Japanese Straightening question

I am planning on going next week. I am so nervous! But I am also excited to have it done in time for my vacations (mediterranean cruise) and not having to worry about my hair!!! I think we going to Hair Village - I am going with a friend who is getting her roots touched up.

My question:
Can you curl your hair with a curling iron for up-dos or fancy hairstyles (like for a wedding)??

If anyone has any pics to post when letting your hair airdry please post them here.
Also, any before and afters that haven't posted before I have to see them!

here you go!
Some pics for you.
I blowdry it straight most of the time because I hate it curly. The curls are loose so it doesn't take too long... my biggest problem is frizz!

Re: Another Japanese Straightening question

Hi
I got mine done about a year ago and was able to get a curly up do with a curling iron for a wedding done. That should be no problem
Now I have a ? does anyone know about getting it done if you are pregnant? Mine straightening has grown out but i dont know if i can get it. do the same rules apply as coloring your hair (most women wait until after their 1st trimester)
If any 1 knows please let me know

Re: Another Japanese Straightening question

i think it depends on the hair. When I last had it straightened, it air dried straight but when I curled it with curlers or irons, it would curl with no problem. But I have thick hair so it holds a curl with no problem.

When most people have it japanese straightened, the first 2-3 weeks they might have trouble curling it.

Re: Another Japanese Straightening question

I curled my hair for my wedding- 3 months after I had it done

and last night I let my hair air dry- it has a little more body that way- but it's also raining- and my hair has gotten wet and it's fine- perfect - no frizz

Re: Another Japanese Straightening question

I feel like I should be a paid spokes person- but I really love it- it totally changed my whole life- it no longer relvoves around my hair-

I went to bed with my hair half wet last night- and today is the best rainy day hair day I have ever had- normally my hair would be in a pony tail- and I would feel gross-

it's the best money I have ever spent
