A Couple of Questions- kind of long, sorry!
Hey ladies,
I'm on month #3 of charting with "perfectly timed intercourse." I had three months of out-of-the blue short LP but that has gotten better now- maybe thanks to fertility blend?
My question is- should I add the CBEFM? My charts always show that I O on CD 15 or CD 16- we BD from the first day of EWCM until my temps rise- usually about 3 or 4 days. Would the CBEFM give me more info?
I'm also thinking that I call my ob/gyn (who I'm not crazy about) and see if I can get the CD3 blood work and the 7dpo blood work- do you know, does she just write a prescription and then I go to Quest on the right days?
Also, if I can convince DH- he can just call up a primary to ask for the prescription for a SA- is that right?
That way, if May comes and no BFP, I think I'm going to go to NSUH with these test results - I guess it will give me a headstart?
Sorry this is long- TIA!!

Ariella,
You have always been so informed and proactive...each one of your ideas is right on target.
If you have no known issues, the cbfm will help you conceive quickly. It's very accurate....and some people are shocked to find out that their O date is a lot different than they thought all along ...based on the cbfm.
It's the only device that measures the most important hormone 'ESTRADOIL' ...
Day 3 bloodwork is so important to a cycle. Sure it's good to know if your fsh is in a good range but that won't change too drastically from cycle to cycle...however the "estradoil' on day 3 will indicate if you will O earlier or later in your cycle....
All the blood work and semen analysis can be done at quest...so really you just need a RX for all of it.

Clear Blue Fertility Monitor, it's a computerized device to track ovulation. The sticks that you insert in the monitor, detect two hormones, estradoil and LH. Estradoil is what causes the LH to surge...so having the two hormones detected, it zeros into the ovulation....more precisely.

thanks for the info on the cbfm., redstar. If I don't get pg this month, I will def buy it. I know it's pricey, but I can actually get reimbursed for it on my dh's flexible spending account if I buy it thru drugstore.com.
...didn't mean to intrude on the post, but she's always so informative!!

Re: A Couple of Questions- kind of long, sorry!
Thanks SO much Michelle!
I just made an appointment with my ob/gyn for Monday. She's going to ask why I'm there because she knows we've been trying for only a few months- I'm going to insist on the bloodwork.
Also, DH has an appointment for a physical in 2 weeks- while he is there he will ask for a Rx for a SA- he agreed to do it!
If AF comes in 9 days I'm buying the CBFM for month #4!
It feels better to have a plan!
