Brining a gift when I meet my bf’s dad?
I have already met everyone in my bf’s family except for his father. On Friday is his dad’s bday and we are all going out to dinner—this will be the first time I am meeting him. Do you think it is ok for me to bring a bottle of win as a gift for him (he loves wine) since this will be our first meeting AND his bday as well… I want to make a good impression of course : )

Me too. I was thinking as long as he drinks, wine is a nice, but not too personal gift.
MY FIL doesn't drink, so in the early years I'd bring a box of chocolates.

Wine is always good, especially if he is a connoisseur. If you don't know a lot about wine, I would ask for some advice from the guys at the store. I have been steered to some amazing wines I never would have looked at that way.
