I'm a little worried.....
For the last couple of days now Julia has been going poops like 5 or 6 times a day! She is on all table foods now, and I'm giving her most of the same foods she's been eating from the beginning. I'm not sure what is causing her to poop so much, I'm worried. Her poor butt is all red and she screams when I change her, I've been putting balmex on it. I just don't know what to do for her, I feel so bad. I know she's not sick cause she doesn't have a fever, and she is still eating a lot. Has this happened to anyone else's baby since being on table foods? TIA!

Re: I'm a little worried.....
Maybe she's getting an allergic reaction to something? Did you change brands or texture? Maybe she has a bug - does she have a temp?
Feel better sweetie!

Re: I'm a little worried.....
No, she doesnt have a temp. She has been eating more veggies lately, can that cause it? I have been giving her these meatless chicken nuggets, maybe thats it? I'm not sure she eats such different foods all the time and never had a reaction like that before, its just her poops.

Can she be teething? I know that the excess saliva causes the runs....

Oh no! I don't know because Bella isn't on solids but can I suggest you putting on Aquafor when you change her diaper, it worked WONDERS the time Bella had a diaper rash from pooping (dr recommended)
Now it's all we use...

Re: I'm a little worried.....
Or try Boudreaux's Butt Paste - it's the only thing that worked for us, and it worked overnight.
It could be something she's eating as her body is getting used to digesting different things. Just try to change her as soon as you know she needs it. Hope she feels better soon.

Re: I'm a little worried.....
I'm using balmex and aquaphor and its still red cause shes going so many times a day, and soon as I smell it, I change her. I think it must be the new boca burgers I gave her. I'm going to stop a few things new I am giving to her and see if that helps it. I'm just so upset she is going through this, and she still has such a smile on her face.

The Boca burgers might be too rough on her system...ease off on that and the veggies for a few days. Give her starchy sort of stuff to bind her up a little more.
Poor baby!

Re: I'm a little worried.....
Keep in mind you can have a stomach virus with no temp. She may have a bug, and sometimes babies cintinue to eat even thought their bellies hurt because they can't understand the cause and effect thing yet of eating, they just feel the hunger and desire to eat. Make sure she doesn't get dehydrated, lots of water and why not some pedialyte ice pops in this hot weather. fell better

Re: I'm a little worried.....
Thanks for the hugs girls! Julia seems to be getting a little bit better, a lot of gas but no poops yet I just think that shes eating so much now that her stomach is just trying to digest all this food. Balmex is helping a lot!

Re: I'm a little worried.....
I know it may be tough on you, but also try to keep her diaper off as much as possible to let it air out. Pull up some area rungs so that nothing gets soiled and it makes for easier clean up if she messes a bit, she will heal within 24 hrs if you are able to keep her hiney out of a diaper.

I gave her a bath before and it seemed to help a lot and I let her sit with out a diaper for a couple of minutes while I folded her clothes, and the redness seems to have gone away a lot from this morning. I keep putting the balmex on it and it seems to be working. Thanks again!
