Question for moms who take their children...

... to their doctor's appointment. Not the pediatrician for them, but your ob/gyn appt. I see kids in the waiting room all the time, and then they go in the back with the mom when she goes for her appointment. Where do the kids go when the doctor is examining the mom? I wouldn't want my son in the room with me (he wouldn't fit anyway - small room) and I doubt the nurses have the time to babysit. So, where do the kids go?

Re: Question for moms who take their children...

If I have to take my 2 year old, he comes in the room with me.
WOuld never leave him out of my sight no matter WHO says they would watch him.
If I HAVE to take my 10 year old. He brings his gamboy and sits outside the door.

There isnt anyone who is going to be able to watch your child. They might be able to " keep an eye" on them but if they are working, they really cant stop their jobs to watch 100%.

That happened to me today Chat Icon DH is off on Wednesday morning and doesn't go into work until 1 p.m. so I make my appointment for the mornings so he can watch Andrew. Well, last night he tells me he can't go, he needs to be at work for a meeting Chat Icon

I took Andrew with me, thankfully I had the big exam room. I brought a little snack for him, some small books and a sippy cup. He sat in his stroller off to the side in the room with me. I had no choice and it wasn't ideal, but it worked.

The nurses watch her for me at my office. They love it or she will sit on the floor and play. They put out toys for her.

I guess I should ask at my office just in case I have to bring Jesse with me. Thanks!

I don't think it is a big deal. I mean, they are used to this. Moms often need to bring the baby with them.
