Did any of the DH's have a hard time adjusting to leaving the baby at home?
I am a SAHM and DH only gets to see DS on the weekends and in the morning. DS is asleep by the time DH comes home. This morning I didnt put DS down for his 1st nap until after DH left for work and once he left DS started to cry (I felt so bad because i know he was looking for DH). Then I spoke to DH and told him about it and I knew he had a grin ear to ear because he feels that DS doesn't love him or know who he is. He then told me that it is so hard to leave him every morning. I dont know why but I never thought about how difficult it might be for him to go to work I only worried about myself and I felt really bad. Did anyone elses DH go through this. I don't like telling him of all the new things he does because I want DH to see them for himself but he asks me on a daily basis and I do try to tape it if I remember where the video camera is.

My DH says leaving on Monday mornings is the hardest, after spending all weekend with the baby.

Re: Did any of the DH's have a hard time adjusting to leaving the baby at home?
In our case it is the opposite. DH is with DD every morning until about 2pm (he goes to work then) and comes home at 6ish (to relieve our babysitter) and puts DD to sleep around 7pm. I on the otherhand only see DD in the AM's (for about 1 1/2hr) and if I am lucky for about 5-10 mins at night and on the weekends. So to answer your question- yes it is hard adjusting to that because i don't get to see my child enough on a daily basis. The saving grace is DD know who I am and always excited to see me in the AM.
Yes it is very hard and sad for me. Lots of feeling of guilt everyday but i know I am doing to best I can and savor every minute with DD.

Yes, DH gets very sad on Sun nights b/c the weekend is over and he has to leave her again. He gets to see her in the eve's during the week but it flies by b/c we have to feed her and bathe her plus our dinner and dishes.

I am the DH.....
It is very hard and to be honest I treasured the middle of the night having to get up with her and stay awake from 3am util I get home from work which could range from 530-7.
Now she is sleeping a bit longer and seems to get up at 1 (which my wife is kind enough to let me sleep through) and the 530-6am slot which I feel I have to rush to feed, change her, etc and do not get to hang with her too long since I am off to work.
We are also getting her to bed earlier. This is all a godsend but for me it means that I come home from work, unwind for a few, then help as much as I can (I love bathtime) then put her to bed.
Joanna is amazing! I want then to think I am too.
There's a hubby/daddy perspective

That sounds like my DH to a T well except for the middle of night feedings (he never got up for those). I also met Joanna and Hannah and your wife is so sweet and Hannah is just precious and so little! They are very lucky to have you in their lives!
I just stinks that either one or both parents need to leave at all.
