Good toys for a one year-old
Kevin's turning one soon and people have been asking me about suggested toys for a present.
What toys do your children like and which ones are a waste.

Re: Good toys for a one year-old
Things I likes 1- Push toys - Since they're learning to walk things like a push lawn mower or combo push/ride toy is good. 2 - Made for kid furniture- things that are made in their size - like little chairs & tables go over well. 3 - Wagons are good for them and for you - and are used forever... 4 - Puppets - can be used to enterain when they're younger & for them to use when they're older 5 - 529 contributions towards their education
Things I think are a waste: Stuffed Animals Electronic Games to "smarten up" your child (ie Microsoft Intellitable)

She likes those fat kiddie legos- I think they are a bit of a challenge. And she loves a challenge!

My son loves his Fisher Price Learning Table. He's been playing with it since he was 9 months old. He's 2 1/2 now and still plays with it everyday!

Blocks, shape sorters, push toys, wooden puzzles are all great.
Waste to me is stuffed animals-even the ones that talk.

Re: Good toys for a one year-old
Jenna started liking imaginary play and imitation at that age so I got her a push vacuum, the FP Laugh and Learn House (she LOVES this), a shopping cart.
