? for breastfeeding moms
During the night, is your baby in your bedroom, or do you get up and go into the nursery when you breastfeed? I have been considering that thing that attaches to the bed for baby to sleep in, so I could just reach over and breastfeed while still in bed. Opinions?

Re: ? for breastfeeding moms
I have a co sleeper attached to my bed. It's so much easier to roll over in the middle of the night than to get up and go to baby.

The baby was in my room for the first 10 weeks, but I always brought her into the living room to breastfeed her. I just felt more comfortable sitting up and that way my husband could get some sleep. Also, I liked to watch TV to stay awake and pass the time while she ate.

Re: ? for breastfeeding moms
I have the baby in bed with us- bad I know but its so much easier to roll over and nurse and I catch some rest thru the feeding usually I have him in the sleep positioner in the middle of us- next baby Im going to look into getting a co-sleeper- My baby hates the bassinet and the crib is too far away to get up in the middle of the night I dont feel comfortable with him in there

Me too. I always sat in the glider or on the couch. Never mastered BFing while laying down. HE was in the bassinet in my room until 12 weeks, then in his own room after that.

Re: ? for breastfeeding moms
I think I will invest in a co sleeper. I'm hoping to just use it at night time and nurse the baby in the glider in the nursery the rest of the time. We'll see. Our dog actually sleeps in bed with us so as silly as it sounds I don't want her getting up when I do to go into the nursery at night. One of you girls said it right, different things work for different people. Thanks for the tips to consider.

Re: ? for breastfeeding moms
Mallory slept in our room for the first 4 months or so. I would bring her into bed with me and I used a boppy pillow to prop her up while she nursed. Sometimes I would put her back in her bassinet, sometimes she slept in bed with us for some snugglin.
