So this cold...
is going round and round my house....
When one starts to feel better- the other gives it right back to them...and because its just "a cold" none of us are on real meds...
DH and I are taking the OTC stuff to clear us out... but RJ hasnt taken anything.... I hear his congestion, and aspirate like crazy- but nothing comes out- It must be way in there- I use little noses, and he sleeps with the humidifier....
I brought him to the ped twice- both times, they said there is no infection, so I have to let it work its way out...
Could I give him the OTC little noses decongestant medicine...??
Its for babies???? My ped. didnt recommend anything... but he isnt big into medicine to begin with.... what do you think?

Re: So this cold...
If he is sleeping ok, I don't see any reason to give him medicine.

No- not at all! And he's a great sleeper usually!
I think he's having issues breathing through his nose!

Re: So this cold...
When Julia had a cold I just gave her Tylenol cold and cough and it helped her a lot. Maybe you can try that and see how it goes. Hope he feels better soon!

Re: So this cold...
When my son was stuffy at night from a cold the pediatrician recommended a little saline for his nose (not too often) and using PediaCare decongestant Infant drops. The PediaCare seemed to help a little.

Re: So this cold...
They say the OTC meds for infants doesn't really do much. I've found that to be true even with my DD.
I do have to recommend the new Sudacare plug in unit. I used it way back when Gianni had a really bad cold and it worked wonders for us.

Carlie also has a bad cold. She is cough and sneezing all day long. I went to the dotor yesterday and she got some zithromax. She seems to be doing a little better today, but now I think I have it.

Yea.... but I think my aspirator might be too small for his nose- Is that possible???
I bought the pedicare- after getting the ok from my ped.- Ill see if it helps!
